Which fits you

How owners usually decide

Secured may fit if…

You own property with equity, need a larger amount, and want lower monthly payments over time.

Unsecured may fit if…

You don’t own property, need speed, or only need a smaller amount for a short time.

A mix may fit if…

Questions owners ask

Secured vs. unsecured questions

What is a secured business line of credit?

It’s a revolving line of credit backed by collateral, often property such as your home, an investment property, or a commercial building. Because the lender has collateral, the cost may be lower and the limit larger than unsecured options.

Can I get unsecured funding if I’m self-employed?

Often, yes. Unsecured business funding usually looks at business revenue and time in business. Self-employed owners with property may also qualify for secured options; we review both.

Can I access home equity without refinancing my mortgage?

Often, yes. A HELOC is usually a separate line that sits behind your existing mortgage, so you may keep your current mortgage and rate. Availability depends on your equity, the property, and the program.

Important: using property as collateral

A Business HELOC or any property-backed financing uses your property as collateral. If payments aren’t made as agreed, you could lose the property. Rates on lines of credit are often variable, so payments can change. PrimeNova walks you through these risks before you decide, and this is not an approval, rate quote, or commitment to lend.
